The Advantech UNO-238 is a compact yet powerful IoT Edge Computer, designed to meet the demands of industrial applications requiring a balance of performance and efficiency. It is powered by the 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8365UE processor, a quad-core clocked at 1.6 GHz (with Turbo up to 4.1 GHz), offering a 50% performance increase compared to the previous generation for real-time data analysis and process management at the network edge. This processor ensures smooth execution of critical tasks while optimizing power consumption. The system supports up to 32GB of DDR4 memory via one SO-DIMM slot, ensuring high responsiveness for all applications.
Robust Design and Industrial Reliability
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the UNO-238 features a fanless design, eliminating moving parts and thereby increasing its durability against dust, vibrations, and noise. Its ability to operate across a wide temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (with 0.7m/s airflow) guarantees operational stability even under extreme conditions. Reliability is further enhanced by a threaded DC power jack, which ensures a secure electrical connection and prevents unexpected disconnections. Moreover, an optimized mechanical design allows for easy RAM swapping, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime. Its compact form factor of 150 x 107 x 60 mm and versatile mounting options (stand mount with rubber stopper or optional DIN-rail kit) simplify its integration into various environments. These features make it an ideal platform for factory automation, process management, and MES system integration applications.
Extensive Connectivity and Versatile Expansion Capabilities
This embedded PC offers rich connectivity for seamless integration into various IoT infrastructures. It is equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports for fast network communication, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for ultra-fast data transfers, and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports for connecting to existing industrial equipment. For visualization, it features HDMI and DisplayPort (DP) outputs, supporting dual independent displays. Expansion options are extensive, including an M.2 B-key (3042/3052) slot for 5G/LTE modules and an M.2 E-key (2230) slot for Wi-Fi modules, offering great flexibility for integrating wireless capabilities. An integrated TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) provides robust hardware-based security for critical data protection. The UNO-238 integrates 32GB of onboard eMMC 5.1 storage, providing a fast and reliable boot solution for the operating system.
